Example of a My Deals page on Facebook

It’s been three months since we introduced My Deals to Doba members, and the software application that gives online retailers the ability to open a storefront inside Facebook has proved to be a huge success.

So far, 1,100 Doba retailers and entrepreneurs have activated My Deals and are selling their products online through Facebook. An informal survey shows that the average selling price of products being marketed on My Deals is $9.96, with products ranging from men’s cologne to women’s cosmetics, and from electronics to furniture pieces.

Here are just some of the My Deals storefronts we’ve seen created to date: Continue reading »

We’re in Vegas for the eBay Radio Party

Editor’s Note: This is one of these instances where ‘what happens in Vegas’ isn’t necessarily going to stay in Vegas.

As the title of today’s blog post suggests, we’re in Las Vegas, NV, today and tomorrow (June 23-24) for eBay Radio’s Las Vegas Party — a two-day event for ebay sellers who want to lean how to grow and improve their business using eBay.com. This year marks the 7th time eBay Radio has hosted this particular event, and it’s the first time Doba has participated an event sponsor.

For Doba, eBay Radio’s Las Vegas Party provides a unique opportunity for our team to meet with up-and-coming eBay sellers; answer questions about the pros and cons of drop shipping; share product sourcing-related tips, tricks, strategies, and warnings; and reconnect with many of our customers. Featured speakers at this year’s Party include several noted eBay educators and experts, including Marsha Collier, Cliff Ennico, and Andrew Chase, among many others.

If you’re in Las Vegas this week and want to network with some of the most knowledgeable, fun and successful eBay people on the planet, pop on over to the Paris Hotel (3655 Las Vegas Blvd.; Las Vegas, NV 89109). If it’s not possible for you to attend, consider tuning in to eBay Radio, which will be broadcasting at a special time, live from Vegas tomorrow – Thursday, June 24, 2010 – from Continue reading »

Sponsored by Doba, eBay, and PayPal, the eCommerce Summit brings together small business owners and retail industry leaders who want to spend time together for the sole purpose of sharing information in a dynamic and fast-paced interactive environment that’s 100% conducive to improving one’s online retail business.

Confirmed speakers at this year’s Summit include:

  • Alexis Van de Wyer, eBay’s Director of Advertising
  • Mike Ober, Sr. Manager of Merchant Services at Yahoo!
  • Greg James, President of Webstores
  • Sophie Shiatis, Vice President of PRWeb
  • Jonathan Garris, Executive Director of PeSA

In addition, our very own Jeremy Hanks (Co-founder and CEO of Doba) will speak at this year’s eCommerce Summit. Jeremy, who co-authored Drop Shipping For Dummies and eBay Inventory the Smart Way, will serve on a panel that offers attendees proven product sourcing-related tips, strategies, and warnings.

Normally, for online retailers, attendance at the eCommerce Summit would run you between $150 and $300; but, if you’re one of the first five people to email me at marketing [at] doba [dot] com, Doba will pay for your conference registration, no questions asked! As with all offers, some restrictions do apply: For example, you must be a Doba member and you have to agree to pay for all of your other expenses yourself (e.g., airfare, hotel, meals, etc.).

Don’t miss this out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend one of the premiere online retail conferences for FREE.
