The Story Behind Doba Deals!

DobaDealsEvery Tuesday, Doba sends an email to all members highlighting deals of the week on wholesale drop ship products.  The email, called Doba Deals, features one primary and nine secondary deals. As our members know, these specials are available on a first come–first serve basis, and while we try to reserve sufficient quantities to last all week, this is not always possible.   The items featured on the email represent some of our best items in the catalog and they often sell out quick.  Basically, if you want to sell the item – you may need to buy the items up front and reserve your quantities.

Why have weekly Doba Deals?

The Doba Deals program was launched as a means of highlighting and exposing some of the very best items in our catalog.  With over 1.5 million drop ship products, the task of locating, researching and deciding which items to sell can be daunting. Doba Deals gives you — the start-up or growing online retailer — a small glimpse into Doba’s virtual inventory catalog and is meant to help serve as a way of setting you on the right product sourcing path.

Some start-up online retailers simply need a helpful push in the right direction in using our catalog. Whether that help is in the form of taking the guesswork out of picking items to sell or being introduced to a new group of products, Doba Deals are designed to help.

How do we decide which items to promote?

We have a number of considerations when picking the items for the weekly deals.  First, we choose items that have the potential for generating a good profit margin.  Next, suppliers of these items have to have an exceptional track record for fulfilling orders (quickly and accurately) and show a genuine interest in supporting retailers on Doba.  Finally, we look for products and suppliers that introduce new niches and unique opportunities to Doba retailers.  We get calls and emails from suppliers daily asking for promotional spots and we examine their history, as well as their commitment very carefully before agreeing to promote them.
